17 sie 2009 · I've seen a few on here done using the manifold off of the old 1.8 8v gassers. I'm pretty sure you'll need to weld up the flange area at the top corners of the ports so you have enough material when you port-match.
19 paź 2011 · TT 266 (aka270): Good power across the powerband, a good choice for a first cam if you're going to upgrade valvesprings (needed in OBD2 engines!) Pulls from 2500 to around 6500. TT 268: high performance cam from VW. It was used in certain 8v's (not in the USA.)
The BRM intake manifold is a popular upgrade in TDI truck swaps and builds. Usually to replace the flawed earlier intake manifolds with uneven/poor flow. It even is better than the common PD150 intake upgrade, and includes gasket.

20 kwi 2010 · The second best upgrade was tearing out the small flat filter and putting in a ducted cone air filter (I haven't modded the IP at all yet). I think the Corrado casting is an 8v, also called a 6 bolt manifold.
25 lut 2009 · As far as bolting up, any 8v VW manifold will bolt to the 1.6 head. There is ostensibly some benefit to running a gasser manifold on a turbodiesel, as it decreases the air bias across the cylinders that's inherent in the stock 1.6TD intake design.
