That's because there's no functional benefit going from 4k to 8k on any reasonably sized screen. And these tests were done in optimal conditions, with an 88" screen at a short viewing distance. Realistically people will have smaller screens and sit further away, which makes 8k even more pointless.

24 lut 2023 · I think the PQ of the OLED we have is overall better than the 8K, but the sharpness and clarity of the 8K is better than the OLED. For us, the family likes the 8K set better. Both the sets are 65", but the resolution/upscaling difference is noticeable at normal viewing distance.
