I am using 7-Zip on Windows XP and whenever I download a .tar.gz file it takes me two steps to completely extract the file(s). I right-click on the example.tar.gz file and choose 7-Zip --> Extract Here from the context menu. I then take the resulting example.tar file and the right-click again and choose 7-Zip --> Extract Here from the context menu.

Also it's better to read from disk1 and write your ZIP to disk2, as the physical head does not move from read to write. 18 lut 2018 · The zip can be opened with normal Windows Explorer, and copied the 7za.exe to a different folder. Open the command prompt run <path to 7za.exe> x <path to the latest .exe> that unpacks the exe. Now you can run the GUI version from path where you have extracted (your current folder).
