6 mar 2024 · He was the first to climb a 5.15c with Change in 2012, the first to flash a 5.15a with Supercrackinette in 2018, and the second ever to onsight a 5.14d with Cabane au Canada in 2013. According to The Economist, Ondra is “regarded as possibly the best climber ever to fondle rock.”
In April 2022, French climber Sébastien Bouin – a frequent climbing partner of Ondra – established the world's second-ever 9c (5.15d) route, which he called DNA , in the La Ramirole cave, Verdon Gorge in France; it also remains unrepeated (2023).
27 lut 2017 · Yesterday Margo Hayes clipped the chains on La Rambla in Siurana, Spain, becoming the first woman to send 5.15a and making history. Last year, Hayes, a 19-year-old from Boulder, Colorado, made it her goal to climb 14 5.14s to “learn as much about the grade as she could.”.

23 lut 2023 · With a proposed grade of 5.15c, Excalibur is now the hardest sport climb in Italy. It’s safe to say that Ghisolfi’s grade estimation holds weight in the climbing community. The Italian was the fourth climber in history to send 5.15c (with Perfecto Mundo in 2018) and has to date redpointed nearly 20 5.15+ routes, including four graded 5.15c.
