4 kwi 2024 · Every time I open this ROM I get the following message on my screen: Failed to open save file; in-game saves cannot be updated. Please ensure the save directory is writable without additional privileges (e.g. UAC on Windows).
12 mar 2022 · I'm using mGBA version 0.9.3 on Windows 10. This issue is spread across GB and GBA games, while some other GB/GBA games are without issue. E.g: Pokemon Blue and Pokemon Firered cannot load a save until I start a new game, while Pokemon Red and Pokemon Ruby are just fine.
24 sty 2021 · I just downloaded mgba last night, but I found that my game always starts up with a error that says "failed to open save file. is the save directory writable?" how do i fix this?
26 lip 2023 · When loading any game, mGBA says that it fails to open the savefile, as the directory is not writable without additional privileges, with this message: Of course, I have full privileges on said network share; this setup works seamlessly with vba-m, for instance.
When you run mGBA, right click and run as administrator. Found a solution: find your library folder and grand the application permissions to read/write. ggez. Only solution I’ve found is go to file>save state file>create save file in new folder - load state file>new folder>select labeled file.
