This is an updated version of the original addon for use in TBC Classic. Due to Blizzard's changes in the WoW API you need to mouse over the player without fading tooltip for 3 seconds to get a GearScore + Itemlevel reading in the tooltip.
Assists in evaluating a Characters preparedness for Instances and Raids. This addon adds a weighted value for each item a player has equipped based on Item Level. For example Chest pieces give more Gear Score than Rings because they have more Stats.
13 kwi 2017 · I always thought TBC was missing something, and after seeing PuG raid leaders asking to "whisper stats", I realised exactly what that was: GearScore! So here's a port of GearScore Lite from 3.3.0 into 2.4.3.
The next (and last) major patch before the Cataclysm expansion hits will be Patch 4.0.3, " The Shattering ." This patch will include all of the world changes, including major topographical changes, new quests, and more!
