Your laptop isn't that old and 4 GB of RAM isn't that bad. With an SSD, Windows 7 64-bit will run no problem on that computer. It could even run 10 64-bit fine (it can be downloaded and installed for free with your 7 product key). But if you need 7 you can install it.

While it's true that Windows 7 needs a bit more RAM to run properly, the real truth is that it will take full advantage of the RAM you give it, unlike XP. Windows 7 will function just fine with less than 4GB of RAM, so you should be fine getting the 32-bit version.

5 sie 2009 · The problem is that like Vista, Windows 7 x86 is capable of only using about 3 GB of RAM. By contrast, Windows 7 x64 cannot only make use of up to 16TB 192GB RAM, but is capable of using the memory remapping feature of modern BIOSes, which allows the operating system to really use the complete 4GB.
12 maj 2022 · I had a 2007 laptop that I put Windows 10 on. 2 gb ram, didn't run it very well, but it ran it well enough that I could use my stuff that decided to can any Vista support. With 4 gb you should be fine.
