I can confirm it works on the model 27R410T, but apparently it works for multiple RCA sets from the early 2000s. There are a couple other easy-to-find ways to get into the service menu on RCA sets, but this way took some digging and a long time to find so I wanted to share it here for some more exposure.

20 sty 2021 · I acquired a 27" Sanyo CRT TV (chassis - G3Y27560, model AVM-2756) for running old video game consoles. There are some convergence issues at the corners that aren’t a big problem at the moment, but the vertical size is too tall causing clipping of the top and bottom of the image.
22 kwi 2021 · crt sharp 27sc26b stuck in service mode Was changing the vsm gain setting to 3, but now when I turn off the tv and turn it back on it goes back into the service menu. To get in to it originally I held the key combo on the tv tben plugged it in, and it started into the service menu by itself.
