CRT gamers chase fads. RCA has invented the color CRT and most or the core tech used in CRT TVs. Philips led the semiconductors used in most solid state CRT TVs. Dig deeper inside a TV, regardless of brand, and you will see the industry standing on the sholders of RCA and Philips.
I’ve tried a bunch and always noticed some issues and finally that one fixed things for me. Apparently a lot of them are wired incorrectly and just tap into the composite signal instead of the proper signal. It’s a good cable for sure!
I recently purchased a 27ST420L/17. It did not come with the remote so I bought one from ebay. The remote seems to work but I have no option to change the inputs. Seems like it is locked down or something. And for some reason, channel 22 is the front a/v input but no channels lead to the back inputs. Reply.
5 maj 2010 · I grew up with a Quasar 26" console and then later an RCA Home Theatre 35" console- neither one of those tvs had geometry issues. The RCA is still kicking and looks beautiful thru its most advanced input- S-Video and directv SD signal. I bought my own 27" RCA Home Theatre in '94 and it's still looking beautiful also.

16 gru 2005 · The CRT itself is probably OK, although at 14 y/o output has to be down considerably and it probably doesn't focus as well as it should. The stretch problem could be caused by the circuits that control the beam deflection, but more likely it is a power supply issue.
