16 mar 2021 · I have brass in 243, 6mm creedmoor, & 6,5 creedmoor from Starline that I have been using. It measures out good, holds up and I like it. Plus I have talked to the Starline folks in person at Brownells. they're good folks.

7 paź 2013 · The people who say Lapua pays for itself in brass life vs less expensive brass are full of beans, IME. In .223/5.56, I use LC exclusively, whether I am loading blasting ammo for my AR or match ammo for my bolt gun.
15 cze 2012 · What is the best brass? Should I use “once fired” or “military surplus” brass? Is quality of Lapua brass really worth the added cost? I stumbled upon some info on 6mmBR.com about a year ago containing some data that can be used to compare of brass uniformity between manufacturers.
3 cze 2024 · At the time of this writing, grafs.com lists such brass for around $0.27 each, and new .223 Rem. brass starts around $0.45. Even premium Lapua only runs $0.89. The .223 Rem.’s closest varmint-riding rival’s (.22-250 Remington) brass costs nearly double that and is all but unobtainable.
14 sty 2022 · I broke out a brand new box of Lapua .223 Remington Brass. As always, I measure random samples to insure they at the very least meet SAAMI specification. One measurement which caught my eye was the case weight. Most of the empty brass I've used to date weighs around 90 to 92 grains however he Lapua brass weighs 104 grains.
27 sie 2020 · I started out on 223 Rem with range pickup brass. Then started sorting out & using LC brass. Someone on another forum had posted their weight & voljume results by headstamp and found the Starline brass was most consistant.
