3 mar 2012 · 94-98 used pretty much the same body, but converting yours to a hardtop would be very difficult to say the least. The convertibles are made completely different in the area the top stows in. You'd likely have to replace both rear quarters and all of the supporting braces, rear window deck area, etc., etc..
1972 was the famous year when Mustangs...well...ok, they didn't change all that much. The only major change was the fact the engines were no longer the powerhouses they started to become in the late 60s.
