15 cze 2006 · The Pitted Reverses plus the Tailbar varieties would make a nice 1921P subset as probably the most prominent errors; the Thornheads and VAM-6A/6B are the obvious choice for 1921S. I wouldn't think of suggesting something other than Rob's ideas for 1921D's. I think the 1921 Top Ten would have to be a Top 25.

5 gru 2004 · I've just finished assembling a registry for the finest known 1921-D VAM collections. A listing of several sets actively being assembled is now published to the web. The registry includes every VAM listed in "Fun With 1921" (but does not include the non-VAMs listed as JOH varieties):
As the dies were in shallow relief, a sharp strike is not as distinctive as one of the earlier 1878-1904 era. The surfaces are often frosty and lustrous, a point in their favor. As is the case with 1921 Philadelphia Mint Morgan dollars, a certified 1921-D is apt to have a poor aesthetic appearance.
