15 cze 2006 · Sometimes it is a no brainer: 1921-D VAM-1X. There can't be buckets out there of that massive break so it is an R7 lock. Others, say for instance the 1921-D VAM-1AT "Jet O" look like another common die break.
24 kwi 2010 · Also, from your reverse description it sounds like VAM 1R (VAMworld - 1921-D VAM-1R) might match. VAM 1X would be very easy to spot, there is a huge cud on the obverse (as shown in the VAMworld pictures.

Van Allen and A. George Mallis. The term VAM derives from the first initials of Van Allen's and Mallis' last names.

27 gru 2023 · This 21-D VAM eludes me: the scribbles are distinctive, but I don't see a match; the die crack from the 1st left star to the end of the chin and the one from the nostril to the 5th star don't seem to have a match in the crack/break guide.
