I have a 1921 D morgan dollar with VAM 1X .It also has a large die crack on the reverse starting from the k10 to k12through the eagles right wing tip going under the S and through the T and A then above the second T up to the dentile. It caused a small cud where it touches the T.

The upshot of all this is the fact that the 1921-D VAM 1X late die state made it into the Hit List 40 precisely because of its breathtaking die break features. Few would question the fact that the VAM 1X (now VAM 1X2) is the most dramatic shattered die known for the entire Morgan dollar series.
