8 maj 2016 · It works in FileZilla, because FileZilla defaults to the passive FTP mode, which is more firewall/NAT friendly. The Windows FTP command-line client (ftp.exe) not only defaults to the active mode, it does not even support the passive mode, on any version of Windows.
your server is behind a (dumb, or else SSL-blocked) firewall and is trying to use Passive-mode FTP. If you're using SSL, the only answer is to open a range of ports (say, 10000-11000) on the firewall and configure your FTP server to force Passive mode and use that port range.

4 lip 2014 · The PASV command will ask the server to create a listening socket and accept a connection from the remote machine to establish the data connection. For the PASV command to work, you will also need to port-forward a range of ports for the passive data connections.
