26 mar 2022 · Forge for 1.7.2 is not compatible with Java 8, but instead of installing Java 7 you can install the patch given on this page (note that you may need to update Forge, you seem to have 967 but the patches are for 1121/1147; the Forge website shows 1161 as the latest version for 1.7.2):
7 wrz 2014 · When I launch minecraft forge the minecraft launcher closes and then minecraft doesn't start. I am using the latest version of forge for 1.7.2 and I did use the installer. I even tried running forge without mods in and it still doesn't work so I know it isn't one of the mods. Here is the log:
11 mar 2015 · I'm using forge version 10.12.2.1121, the recommended version for 1.7.2. Download and run the installer, which reports successful installation. I start MC and select the forge profile and try to run the game, and then nothing.
There can be problems getting MC 1.7.2 to work with Forge, however, if you download this fix from the Forge team and just put it in the mods folder, it should fix your problem - or you could have updated to the 1.12.2 version of the TNT mod.

4 cze 2019 · They are not updated with the latest security patches and are not recommended for use in production. Use it for Minecraft, sure - but make sure your browser doesn't try to use it and so on. Alternatively, use OpenJDK (excepting Windows - OpenJDK was POSIX-only until JDK 8)
4 cze 2019 · That is just for updates past the last released version (for 7 that was jre-7u80). Read further on that page, there is an archive of older versions that are freely available.
