Broke one of the clips for the side piece. When I ordered a new one, they were on back order. 6 months later I finally got them. That was almost a year ago. Clips still sitting in my tool box, side pieces are mia. If the valve lash is far enough out that they are ticking you should get to it asap.
A VERY common failure on the Fit is the ELD (electrical load detector) module. This causes charging issues.
Start with a good compression test on each cylinder and absolutely confirm no compression. I would recommend the next step be pulling the valve cover, and setting the piston at TDC to confirm the valves are closed. Then proceed from there.
