Measure Area. The measurement of an area calculates and displays the area between three or more points on the map. To start measuring an area: Press the ‘Measure distance’ button (button turns blue) Click onto the map to set the starting point. Every click will add a point for measurement.
Measure Distance on a Military Map. A graphic scale is a ruler printed on the map and is used to convert distances on the map to actual ground distances. The graphic scale is divided into two parts. To the right of the zero, the scale is marked in full units of measure and is called the primary scale.
Create any military map symbol (ADP 1-02) and add custom presets if you choose. Drag the symbol onto Google/Leaflet Maps and enable the MGRS overlay for operations planning.
