If you’ve been scammed into paying with gift cards purchased at a Walgreens store, please contact us at 1-877-865-9130. Be prepared to provide a copy of your purchase receipt and images of the front and back of the card(s).
Vanilla locks the card if they feel the website you are purchasing for is fraudulent. It protects your money. You have to call the 1-800 number on the card and speak to a representative to get them to unlock it.

21 sie 2023 · First, report the incident to the gift card issuer, which is usually the company where the card would be redeemed like Amazon, Apple, Target, Walmart and others.
If you want to cancel an order that you paid for with your Vanilla gift card funds, you can do it by dialing 1-844-433-7898 and asking their customer service reps to cancel the purchase. You will be refunded the money, and it will be credited back to the gift card.
FYI with those cards - they lock them if they think it could be fraud or used on a fraudulent website to protect your money. They will eventually answer the phone number on the back of the card, but you will be on hold a long time due to the literal amount of people using them who are being scammed.
So I was able to message Amazon and find out that the scammer hadn't redeemed the card yet, and ultimately, get the card credited to my account. However, if there is no way to read any of the card numbers, you may be out of luck.
