Abstract. In this work we determined the magnitude of Earth’s gravitational field g by measuring free fall times for various objects released at different heights and using the Newton’s 2nd law. We found that g=9.81–0.08 N/kg, which is in good agreement with the commonly accepted value of 9.8 N/kg. Introduction.

28 mar 2024 · Abstract. In this experiment, we measured g by measuring the period of a pendulum of a known length. We measured g = 7.65 ± 0.378m/s2. This correspond to a relative difference of 22 % with the accepted value (9.8m/s2), and our result is not consistent with the accepted value.
