27 kwi 2023 · In Bing Maps the Geodata API of the Bing Spatial Data Services is the REST service that can be used to retrieve boundaries. To use this in your app you would need to make a request to this REST service and parse the JSON response and the encoded boundary data and convert it to an array of MapPolygon objects.
If the search location has an entity type value that is supported by the GeoData API, a boundary will be requested and if available, displayed on the map.
In common uses of this module, developers will retrieve boundaries when the entity type of the boundary to return is specified. This is useful to get the boundary of a location that has a different entity type than your input data. However, what if you want to get the boundary of a location and don't know what it's entity type is?
