Several airdrops come down each raid, all with 2 weapon cases inside. You cannot use the weapon case unless you extract with it. Once you extract you get the option to open the case, where it gives you lots of good ammo and gear. You do not get to keep the weapon case, it gets deleted but you get the loot inside.
