Philippines. The Philippines’ headline inflation increased to 8.1 percent in December 2022, from 8.0 percent in November 2022. This is the highest inflation rate reported for 2022 and the highest since November 2008. Inflation in December 2021 was lower at 3.1 percent.
The annual inflation rate in the Philippines edged down to 3.7% in June 2024, compared to May's five-month high and market estimates of 3.9%. This marked the lowest inflation rate since March, as prices slowed for housing & utilities (0.1% vs 0.9% in May) and transport (3.1% vs 3.5%).
