29 lip 2020 · If a Windows system file is missing, the first thing that comes to our mind is the System File Checker (Sfc.exe). The sfc.exe /scannow command-line restores missing or corrupted system files by fetching a good copy from the WinSxS folder.
12 lis 2011 · When you boot into the XP Recovery Console from a flash drive you should be able to just replace your missing file since XP has copies of it on your system in other places. A copy of the file should be here:

Try running a CHKDSK x: /f /r on the Windows XP partition from Windows 2000, or else CHKDSK x: /f /p from the XP Recovery Console (may need to repeat on the recovery console). In my experience, it's about a 50/50 shot as to using the repair option on XP.
30 wrz 2015 · Windows XP Corrupt files. I have notification of corrupt files and am being told to run ChKds utility. My corrupt file is C:Windows\temp\TPM000000007A1966143540A71D215. It says that the file is corrupt and unreadable.
