GPS Visualizer is an online utility that creates maps and profiles from geographic data. It is free and easy to use, yet powerful and extremely customizable. Input can be in the form of GPS data (tracks and waypoints), driving routes, street addresses, or simple coordinates.

When you create a map (using the Google Maps or Leaflet API) from a file that includes elevation data, you can draw an elevation profile right inside the map. (If your original file does not contain elevation data, you can ask GPS Visualizer to add elevation data from a DEM database.)
To use this free utility, simply enter coordinates in the box to the left, one per line, and click "Find elevations" to look up their elevations. If your data is in a tabular format with a descriptive header at the top of each column, choose "tabular" for type of data (and make sure the headers make sense!).
