In addition to Santa Fe, the district serves parts of League City, La Marque, Hitchcock, and Dickinson. In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.

Nestled between Houston and Galveston, just a few miles east of I45, you’ll find Santa Fe ISD. The district services 72 square miles in Galveston County. This covers not only the Santa Fe city limits, but also parts of League City, Dickinson, La Marque, Hitchcock, Alta Loma, Arcadia, and Algoa.
