Calculating paces by hand gets tedious, so I made this app for the two most common use cases: calculating paces and percents "forward" to find workout paces from race pace, and "backward" to find what race pace would result in a given pace and percentage.

1 sty 2003 · A: To find a percentage of a given pace, take that pace, convert it to seconds, and divide it by the decimal equivalent of the relevant percentage. Then re-convert to minutes and seconds.

1 wrz 2010 · Figure any pace in meters per second, then multiply by %age. For example, 16:00 5km works out to 5.2 m/sec. 90% of that is 4.68 m/sec., about 17:45 pace. 6:00 mile pace is about 4.47 m/sec....
This tool allows you to calculate five main running training paces: easy, sub-threshold, threshold/tempo, interval/VO 2 max, and speed endurance. Your race pace - which may or may not fall into the range of one of these five paces - is also important.
