E6B practice. This is a free mini-app from David Megginson for fellow afficionados of the classic aviation E6B circular sliderule (or for student pilots still forced to learn to use it). You can solve practice problems for either the wind side or the calculator side.
You can use the calculator side of your flight computer to convert nautical miles (NM) to statute miles (SM), or knots (kt.) to miles per hour (mph). Remember, the units you use must be equivalent, i.e., nautical miles and knots or statute miles and miles per hour.
This instruction booklet can be used with the three different E6-B models available from ASA. If you have a different model than the one depicted, some parts of your computer may appear slightly different from the computers pictured in this booklet. How-ever, the calculations are accomplished with the same method and produce the same answers.

To replace the batteries: The battery cover is located on the top rear of the calculator. Page 50: Troubleshooting And Care TROUBLESHOOTING AND CARE Batteries should last from six to nine months depending on use. If your E6B fails to respond or the display becomes dim, replace the batteries.
