My starter Torterra is lvl 100 and has faced a variety of Pokemon which means he has EVs in undesirable stats like Speed. I know I can use berries to lower stats so if I fed Torterra enough berries to lower EVs in speed by 20 I'd then now have 20 new EVs that I can put into other stats like Def.
