Event Date: Multiple dates, check below. The Air Mobility Command Museum is starting its 2024 Open Cockpit Day on Saturday, April 20. This event is repeated every third Saturday of the month through October.
The campers will discover the history and science of aviation while applying STEAM methods, learn to fly in a simulator, and pre-flight an actual aircraft. Half-day classes are from 8:30 to 11:30 am. for ages 9 to 11 and 12:30 to 3:30 pm. for ages 12 to 15.

During WWII, the 4146 Base Unit was involved in secret rocket development at what was then known as Dover Army Airfield.
Located on the Dover Air Force Base, this museum showcases the history of military aviation through exhibits and a sizeable collection of planes that have been used throughout history. Our outside aircraft ramp will be available for you to see 25 historical military aviation aircraft.
