The Arizona bridge is a reinforced concrete structure clad in the original masonry of the 1830s bridge. The bridge was completed in 1971 (along with the Bridgewater Channel Canal, separating the peninsula from the mainland), and links mainland Lake Havasu City with Pittsburgh Point.

2 maj 2024 · How the London Bridge Wound Up on Lake Havasu City, Arizona. During the development of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, a man named Robert P. McCulloch bought some land on the shores of Lake Havasu with intentions to develop it. That, however, didn't pan out as he had planned.
By the time the city was selling it, the London Bridge had been connecting its two sides for over a century. Designed in 1799 by Scottish engineer John Rennie, and completed in 1831, it replaced the older stone bridge made famous by the nursery rhyme dating from 1209.
One of the most famous bridges in London, England history and today one of the most unique preservation projects in the world, this bridge was moved here to Arizona to form a signature landmark for Lake Havasu.
