Senator Anna M. Caballero is a woman of firsts. She was the first female Mayor elected in the 126-year history of the City of Salinas and the first Latina elected to represent the 28th Assembly District in 2006.
Anna Marie Caballero (born April 18, 1955) [1] is an American politician serving in the California State Senate. A Democrat, she represents the 14th State Senate district, which includes Merced, Madera and Fresno Counties and part of the Central Valley.
8 lis 2022 · Caballero ( Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the California State Senate to represent District 14. She won in the general election on November 8, 2022. Caballero is a former Democratic member of the California State Assembly, representing District 30 from 2016 to 2018.
Anna Caballero has a proven record protecting our water resources. Anna has served our community for thirty years, as Mayor of Salinas, Assemblywoman and Cabinet Secretary for Governor Jerry Brown. She worked on water issues at the local and state level and understands the need for balance between urban and rural water needs.
Anna first ran for City Council in Salinas in 1991 and was elected the first Female Mayor in 1998. She served in the State Assembly and during her career in public service has won numerous awards for her service and dedication.
