20 gru 2023 · Chosen solution. Under settings>general, you can tick a box to check if Thunderbird is the default and set it. BUT, sometimes Windows gets involved. SO, if setting to default doesn't work, you may need to search for 'default apps' in Windows to verify/set the default email app.
