If you are eligible for upgrade and would like to check in through mobile app, you can simply use the chat feature. In my experience, this feature is much more efficient than going to / waiting at the front desk.

Next time don't say early check in if you were a mobile key. Tell them you had a mobile check in and you're there to pick up your keys. We are supposed to check in mobile check ins 2 hours before arrival time. Check your app and update the time according to when you arrive so you'll have your room. I hope this helps!
