23 mar 2022 · If you are changing a phone number on your account, make sure to keep in mind the guidelines on this Help Center article to avoid Invalid Phone Number errors. Only one number can be connected to an account and there is a timeout period on a phone number once it is removed.

Open a web browser that isn’t already logged into your current Discord account, or alternatively put your current browser into Private Browsing mode, so that you don’t have to log out of your current account. Visit the Discord website.
If you're seeing the "phone number was recently used on a different account" error, that means our system has put a timeout on the number for anti-abuse purposes. You will need to wait for the end of the timeout to use the number once more or use a different number to verify the account.
