3 lip 2012 · Consumer machine made entredeux was stitched over the shoulder seam. Note that commercial entredeux was used at the neckline for the extra strength needed for an active child’s garment. Note also that the entredeux is stitched with yellow yellow 80 wt. Madeira Cotona thread. This is the yoke to my granddaughter’s Easter dress.

Machine embroidery thread generally comes in three sizes: 50wt., 40 wt., and 30 wt. The lower the number, the heavier the thread. Most embroidery designs that are digitized for CDs, cards, etc. are designed to be used with 40 wt. thread, unless specifically stated otherwise.
The type and size of needle to use is determined by: • Thread type: polyester, cotton, rayon or metallic • Thread weight: 12wt, 30wt, 40wt, 60wt, 90wt (The higher the number, the finer the thread.)
Keep in mind, there is no one-size-fits-all answer to the settings you should use for a particular fabric. It’s all about your test, your tools, and your personal taste. I’m also including some buttons that link to stitch diagrams and names for the JW8100.
