24 kwi 2019 · Recently, I completed the University of San Diego (UCSD) Extension’s Copyediting Certificate program. For over a year, I have been sharing and reviewing my experiences with the courses. Now that I have the certificate in hand, it’s time to share my thoughts on the program as a whole.
If you are enrolled in an Online, Hybrid, or Live Online course at Extended Studies, you can use the Inbox feature in Canvas (Global Navigation Menu on the Left of the homepage) to reach out to your instructor (on or after the published start date of the course) (How to Contact Your Instructor).
This online program can be completed in nine to twelve months and includes weekly assignments that require both online and offline work. In addition to the four required courses, there are five recommended courses with more specialized topics, all of which focus on developing practical copyediting skills.
