Does anyone have any recent reviews for booking with Travelocity? Any problems, complaints, compliments. This will be our first time booking a trip to Cancun with them and want to make sure they stand behind their product.
You may not be aware, but AARP gives you some travel discounts - hotels, especially. Even Booking sites such as Expedia or Travelocity have special fares - use links from AARP. In Europe: some bus companies honor them; e.g. studentagency.cz (Yellow buses) to other areas outside Prague)
A travel agent, like travelocity or a brick and mortar agent, can do this as one ticket where the airline website often can’t or has a higher pric. I just booked a trip like this. Travelocity was about $200 per person cheaper than booking through either of the airline’s sites. There’s 2 of us and $400 was significant to me.
Travelocity and Orbitz are both very reputable sites and if you can save a lot of money, I would not hesitate to book there. But as others pointed out, be aware it's more difficult to change anything when you book through the third party site.
