4 mar 2004 · Here are a couple of photos of my tool post disassembled. I have this on a 12" x 36" lathe. If your lathe is smaller you will have to build to fit. The center post is 3" dia. at the base, 1-1/2" dia for the tool holder, and 3-1/2" in total height with a 5/8" hole drilled through its length.
13 cze 2011 · So I picked up a really nice South Bend Tool Post grinder with a bunch of grinding wheels in the really cool little red South Bend boxes. This grinder is the one that grinds on the outside. Being a complete novice to machining I have no idea what use this has.

10 lut 2008 · The other day I found a drawing of the original South Bend lathe cutter grinding fixture and examples on how it was used. I think it was a two page PDF file. I didn't save it and to day I can't find it. I thought it was in the files of one of the South Bend groups. Can some one tell me where it is. Thanks Glenn
