1 lip 2024 · With a number of scams purporting to be Skyscanner over the years, we want to remind travellers how to spot an online scam. It’s worth noting here that Skyscanner is an online travel search site, so we don’t take bookings over the phone or on instant messaging platforms.
We have recently seen an increase in job scams from people or websites impersonating Skyscanner. The scammers usually make unsolicited contact with people via Telegram or WhatsApp, asking them to complete tasks on a fake page carrying Skyscanner's name and logo, in return for commission.
