  4. Try checking where the scratch disk is set to in photoshop's settings, then open my computer (on windows) to see how much space that disk has free. Another idea is that there's a small chance it got set to a nonexistent drive (like a usb drive that's now unplugged).

There are a couple of space-freeing tricks I was going to recommend, but I needed to know why you couldn't free up space on your C: Drive first; I was hoping it wasn't a permissions issue. I would use WizTree to see what files are taking up space on your drive.

  7. 17 maj 2024 · Your hard drive is used as a scratch disk. Your operating system (macOS or Windows) needs empty space to work, and so does Photoshop (which it calls scratch disk). It sounds like your hard drive is just about full, so you need to free up space.
