I have the latest version of CC Photoshop with Creative cloud, however, it has suddenly stopped working, as whenever I do anything, it says my scratch disk is full. This is in spite of the fact that I have 100gb's free on my SSD.
I keep getting the above error, "scratch disks full," to the point where this morning I couldn't even load photoshop up due to it. I'm working on a macbook pro with OS Mojave 10.14.6, using 20.0.0 Photoshop CC. My scratch disc location is on my mac hard drive.
Try checking where the scratch disk is set to in photoshop's settings, then open my computer (on windows) to see how much space that disk has free. Another idea is that there's a small chance it got set to a nonexistent drive (like a usb drive that's now unplugged).
I'm new too photoshop and learning to use it. However recently I can't even open the programme because my scratch disk C is full. I've been through every tutorial to fix these, cleaned temp files, emptied recycle bin.
Glad you were able to figure it out. There are a couple of space-freeing tricks I was going to recommend, but I needed to know why you couldn't free up space on your C: Drive first; I was hoping it wasn't a permissions issue. I would use WizTree to see what files are taking up space on your drive.
17 maj 2024 · Your hard drive is used as a scratch disk. Your operating system (macOS or Windows) needs empty space to work, and so does Photoshop (which it calls scratch disk). It sounds like your hard drive is just about full, so you need to free up space.
