Dragon Slayer is a quest that features the player trying to slay the dragon Elvarg on Crandor. It is often described as one of the most difficult quests that a free-to-play player can do and was the last quest to be added to RuneScape before membership was introduced to the game.

Once your Hitpoints drop to about half, run away and eat 1 or 2 pieces of food before resuming combat. Once Elvarg is defeated, the quest is complete and you will be teleported back out in to the middle of the level 54 skeletons.
Walkthrough. Starting the quest. Before beginning the quest, it is recommended you have all or most of the items required (see above) already as it will greatly speed up the quest. To start the quest, ask the Guildmaster in the Champions' Guild, located south west of Varrock, for a quest.
