The only workaround I've found so far is force closing the client, reopening/logging, and making sure to login to a new world. If I log into the same world that it just crashed on it will always black screen, I repeated 10 client reloads once to test it.

I have no idea if it is the same for the actual game client, but whenever I log out (manually or time out), this is what my login screen looks like. Never loads back in and I need to close the game out and relaunch it in order to log in.
