16 kwi 2024 · All times are local (unless otherwise noted) OVSICORI-UNA reported continuing emissions and eruptive activity at Poás during 10-16 April. Vents on the nearly dry crater floor emitted plumes of gas and steam on 10 April and the number of phreatic events began to increase.
18 maj 2024 · Poás is one of Costa Rica´s most active volcanoes, and one of its most frequently visited and prominent ones. It contains a green acid crater lake and during some of its frequent phreatic eruptions, water from the lake is ejected like a geyser.
1 kwi 2024 · Today, the Poas Volcano experienced one of its most significant ash eruptions in the past five years. As of noon, ash and gas emissions persisted, though details regarding the height of the plume remain undisclosed, visible from kilometers away.

The Poás Volcano (Spanish: Volcán Poás), is an active 2,697-metre (8,848 ft) stratovolcano in central Costa Rica and is located within Poas Volcano National Park. It has erupted 40 times since 1828, including April 2017 when visitors and residents were evacuated.
