Entrance Scholarships are awarded to students entering McGill University for the first time to undertake their first full-time undergraduate degree program. Transfer, Mature, Diploma, Exchange, Special, Part-time and Visiting students are not eligible for consideration.

Fall 2024 Key Academic Dates & Other Important Dates. The Key Academic Dates found below are those approved by Senate in May 2022. Classes begin: Wednesday, August 28 (except for Dentistry and Medicine students – please see faculty schedules) Fall Reading Break: Tuesday, October 15 to Friday, October 18 inclusive (some exceptions apply)
Make sure to apply early! The McCall MacBain Scholarship application is available online from June to August / September 2024 for Summer / Fall 2025 admission. It is separate from McGill admissions, and two reference forms are required. Find out more about the application.

Deadline extended! Do not wait to be admitted to McGill to apply for a scholarship. Apply by the following deadlines: applicants from a Quebec CEGEP - March 7; applicants from a school in the rest of Canada - February 7; exceptionally for applicants from a school outside of Canada - the deadline has been extended from January 21 to February 7.
McGill offers a merit-based Entrance Scholarship Program and a needs-based Entrance Bursary Program to first-time university students entering a full-time undergraduate degree program.
