Booked directly with KLM in November 2022. Departure-date Dec 2022, return-date February, 2023. I bought 4 tickets, each around 950 euros. Book-costs (according to invoice) 10 euro's each. Around 150 of that 900 is the extra fee for "flex".

Are you quoting from the fare rules for your particular booking or quoting from a general info page on fares? If it was from a booking, I would expect to see more details as you can see the ticket conditions before you purchase. Reply.
I stumbled across this today because I'm having a hard time getting a refund for an unused FLEX ticket from KLM. I booked 3 RT, Flex flights from IAD to AMS for June 2024 (cost: EUR 4500), but I had to cancel them in April 2024.
26 paź 2022 · DL guy here looking to buy directly from KLM. I see that you can buy an outbound TATL ticket as a flex fare (J) and a return that is not flex. Why is this even possible and what happens if you purchase a fare constructed in this way but then cancel?
6 cze 2024 · Flex tickets (on shorthaul anyway) don't allow refunds after a no-show; only for a rebooking.
I'm booking from KLM website. While selecting the inbound and outbound, I'm selecting the Flex option for both. This is the only possibility for refundable tickets.
The stories you hear are about people not buying a flexible ticket, then having a personal issue and want the flexible ticket terms they didn’t buy. You can refund a flexible ticket through their website very easily. In the cases I had to do that the money was returned within two days.
