Death. In July 1975, a doctor diagnosed Kuhlman with a minor heart flare-up; in November, she had a relapse. As a result, Kuhlman underwent open-heart surgery in Tulsa, Oklahoma, during which she died on February 20, 1976.
Photography, pottery, and printmaking became my favorite media. My first summer job was in a pottery studio, scraping kiln shelves, and sifting fireplace ash to make glaze. I attended the Visual Arts Program at Camosun College, and received my Associate of Arts in 1988.

When she died in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on February 20, 1976, millions counted her as their minister and thousands claimed that they had experienced her healing powers. Kuhlman was one of the early pioneers of radio with a Denver show in 1933 called Smiling Through.
