7 mar 2022 · If you receive suspicious email, text or phone messages, go to the delivery carrier's website directly or use the retailer's tracking tools to verify the sender's identity and avoid these scams. In addition, the U.S. Postal Service has posted an alert about phony delivery texts.
If your number is being spoofed, blocked, or labeled as potential spam, you will need to select “unwanted calls/texts” as the Phone Issue and then “my own number is being spoofed” as the sub-issue.

8 lut 2024 · Do not respond to unwanted texts from questionable sources. Several mobile service providers allow you to block the sender by forwarding unwanted texts to 7726 (or "SPAM"). Check with your provider about options. Be careful about giving out your mobile phone number or any other personal information.
25 kwi 2024 · Report scam phone numbers to the FTC by calling 1-877-382-4357 or by filling out their online form. You can also contact the FBI, Federal Communications Agency (FCC), and your local law enforcement. Contact any businesses that a scammer is impersonating and report to them as well.

The FTC continues to go after the companies and scammers behind these calls, so please report unwanted calls at donotcall.gov. If you’ve lost money to a scam call, tell us at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
