Quests can be a source of starter money. There are several quests that can be easily completed early for their monetary rewards, including Black knight's fortress, Sheep Herder (warning: potentially frustrating), Pirate's treasure, Ernest the chicken, The Hazeel Cult, Monk's friend, Prince Ali rescue, and Shield of Arrav.
