You must be 18 years or older to travel with a pet in the cabin. When traveling with a pet, you may not occupy an emergency exit row or bulkhead row. Your pet counts towards your carry-on allotment. You can bring a pet carrier and a personal item or a pet carrier and a standard size carry-on bag.
International Pet Travel - Alaska Airlines. Dogs and cats are the only acceptable animals allowed between the U.S. and an international location. When traveling internationally, we strongly advise you research what health and vaccination documents are required for the country you're visiting.
Alaska Airlines allows small pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, and household birds) to travel in the cabin if the combined weight of the pet and carrier does not exceed 20 lbs (9 kg). Pets must be at least 8 weeks old. Each passenger can travel with a maximum of 2 pets, as long as 2 seats are purchased.
